The museum was started by vintage car collector Tarun Thakral, who shares his collection of cars  with the public to showcase the history of transportation in India.

Seventy-five vintage and classic cars staged on a retro Indian street reflect the evolution of the Indian car industry. This museum will also interest railway, aviation and two-wheeler fans.   The collection of Indian Transportation Toys can be viewed and are a bonus to your visit.

Spread over three acres of land, the 90,000 square foot the museum has over 2,500 objects on display.  The museum presents a snapshot of Indian heritage with a very modern twist. Besides the classic cars, you will also find these galleries in the museum:

Railways - this gallery explores the grandeur of travel by rail through a historically inspired railway platform and a 1930s restored railway saloon from BBCI Railway. Also on display are models of popular locomotives and memorabilia including original posters, train tickets, lamps and railway maps.

Two Wheelers - This gallery showcases the evolution of early two wheelers in India including bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, and mopeds. Indigenous systems of transport such as Phat-Phat, Chakhda, Jugaad, and Ganesha are also on display.

Maritime Gallery - This gallery depicts the history of India's inland waterways, their evolution and decline, and the story of the Ganges River alongside models of boats, navigational maps,  and etchings.

Aviation - This section details the history and evolution of the Indian aviation industry, including early trials and experiments and the history and growth of Air India.
