Itinerary
Day 1: To Kitgum with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary:
Stop At: Ziwa Rhino Wildlife Ranch, Nakitoma, Uganda
On this day, you will have your breakfast & transfer to Kitgum with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track White Rhinos.
You will arrive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary at around 10:00 am and enter the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot where well-trained rangers will guide you through the bush to where the white rhinos are. You will get the opportunity to watch these endangered, magnificent creatures in their natural habitat before proceeding to Kitgum.

Day 2: To Kidepo Valley National Park for Afternoon Game Drive:
Pass By: Kidepo Valley National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Northern Region
On this day, you will have your breakfast & transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park. The drive will take you through the Karamojong Villages and you will also be rewarded with splendid views of the countryside. Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda’s most isolated national park, but the few who make the long journey north through the wild frontier region of Karamojong would agree that it is also the most magnificent with ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses.

You will arrive to Kidepo Valley National Park in the afternoon and go for evening game drive where you will be able to see various animals like; Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Lions among others.

Day 3: Game Drive and Karamjong Community Visit:
Stop At: Kidepo Valley National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Northern Region
On your morning game drive a ranger with extensive knowledge of the park will join you in your vehicle. The Park is known for its massive elephant population, wide array of bird species and big herds of buffalo. Giraffes, lions, antelope and waterbucks can also be spotted here and if you search the trees carefully, you may even spot the elusive leopards.

In the afternoon after your lunch, you will spend time in a Karamjong village learning about their traditional way of life, traditional kraals, traditional dance, their typical manyattas and colorful blankets among others.

Day 4: To Murchison Falls National Park:

On this day, you will have your breakfast and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you through the Karamojong villages where you will also be rewarded with splendid views of the countryside with several stopovers en-route for lunch, landscape and beautiful sceneries viewing.

You will arrive to Murchison Falls National Park in the evening and check in to Fort Murchison Lodge for dinner and overnight stay in self-contained rooms with private bathroom facilities.
The lodge is set in a beautiful surrounding and looks out on the majestic Albert Nile that will add to your safari experience.

Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Safari on Victoria Nile:
Stop At: Murchison Falls National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Western Region
On this day, your safari breakfast will be served before the day breaks so that you can start your morning game drive as the sun comes up. Sunrise is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals tend to be the most active during the “golden hours”, when the first rays of sunshine come to rest on the savannah. Elephants, buffalo and several species of antelope are some characters you may come across today, & if you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard.

Stop At: Nile Delta Cruises - Murchison Falls, Paraa vanaf Paraa river crossing, Murchison Falls National Park Uganda
You will return for lunch in the afternoon & go for a 3-hours boat safari upstream on the Victoria Nile to the falls where you will pass by breathtaking scenery, as well as many crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys & other animals that come down to the Nile. The boat will drop you near the waterfall for your hike (1-1.5 hours) up to the top of the falls (optional at additional cost of $15 per person).

Day 6: Top of the Falls Walk & Transfer to Kibale National Park for Crater Lakes Walk:

On this day, you will enjoy your last sunrise & breakfast in this beautiful National Park in Uganda with a walk to top of Murchison Falls for about 30 minutes to 1 hour & transfer to Kibale National Park with several stops along the way for lunch, beautiful scenery, landscape viewing among others before reaching the Park.

You will arrive in the afternoon, have lunch and go for guided crater lakes and plantations walk. Among the crater lakes that you are likely to see are; Lake Nkuruba, Nyabulitwa, Nyabukere among others.

After your guided Crater lakes and plantations walk, you will check in to Kibale Forest Camp or Isunga Lodge for dinner & overnight stay in self-contained safari tents or rooms with private bathroom facilities.
Your stay in Kibale Forest Camp will offer you a unique jungle experience. You will get absorbed by forest smells and sounds, spot primates swinging through the trees and observe rare birds and beautiful butterflies fluttering around. The elegant tented camp is located in a patch of evergreen forest which borders the Magombe swamp and is a mere 10-minutes drive to where your chimp tracking will start.

Day 7: Chimpanzees Tracking & Visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary:
Stop At: Kanyanchu Visitor Center, Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale National Park, Kibale National Park Uganda
On this day, you will wake up early and have breakfast before moving to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzees Tracking experience where you will have the opportunity to follow an experienced guide into the forest to observe these fascinating creatures at a close range. Watching them interact with each other and go about their daily routine of grooming, playing and foraging is an incredible experience. While your chances of encountering chimpanzees are high during your tracking excursion, it is never 100% guaranteed. These are, after all, wild animals with wills and minds of their own!

In the afternoon after your lunch, you can choose whether you would like to go for Community walk or go deeper into the forest on a Swamp Walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary; home to 8 primate species, over 200 bird species, butterflies and various reptiles.

Day 8: To Amabere Caves & Semuliki National Park:

On this day, you will wake up early and have breakfast before moving to Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves for a guided walk in nature, stalagmites experience that is believed to be breast milk, hill climbing, crater lakes experience, birding and other wildlife viewing among others.

Stop At: Semuliki National Park, Semuliki National Park, Western Region
After the guided walk in nature at Amabere ga nyina mwiru Caves, you will have lunch and go for another guided walk in nature at Semuliki National Park where you will be able to see abundant wildlife including; baboons, red-tailed Colubus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, various bird species, butterflies, Sempaya hot springs and many more.

Day 9: To Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon Game Drive:

After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori with several stops along the way for lunch, equator and landscape viewing before reaching the Park.

You will arrive in the afternoon, have your lunch and go for your afternoon game drive where you will expect to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, Lions, bush pigs, antelope’s families among others.

After your long journey and afternoon game drive, you will check in to Bush Lodge or Simba Safari Camp for your dinner and overnight stay in self-contained bandas/rooms with private bathroom facilities.

You will spot more hippos today than you can possibly imagine. Herds of elephants and buffaloes will also be wandering down to the shoreline to bathe in the cooling waters. It will be a wonderful experience.

After the boat safari, you will return to Bush Lodge or Simba Safari Camp for your dinner and overnight stay in self-contained rooms or bandas with private bathroom facilities.

Day 11: To Mgahinga National Park with a stopover at Ishasha Sector for Tree Climbing Lions Game Drive:

On this day, you will wake up early and have your breakfast then transfer to Mgahinga National Park while enjoying a scenic drive that allows you to view the beautiful and varied countryside. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is one of the luckiest and smallest parks in Uganda where the world’s critically endangered mountain gorillas are found, and it happens to be part of the Virunga massif where more than 480 mountain gorillas are known to be living.
Stop At: Ishasha, Uganda
You will stop for a game drive at Ishasha Sector where you will be likely to view tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes among other species.

You will continue and arrive to Mgahinga National Park in the evening and check in to Travelers’ Rest Hotel or Lake Mutanda Resort for your dinner and overnight stay in self-contained rooms with your own clean private bathroom facilities. Day 12: Mountain Gorilla Tracking & Batwa Community Visit:
Stop At: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Western Region
After your breakfast, you will hike to the Park headquarters just meters from the Lodge for briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides before transferring to the starting point for Mountain Gorillas tracking. Your tracking experience will be an exciting, yet challenging, journey along forested slopes, tangled vines, thick vegetation & bamboo forests before you reach the territory of these gentle giants. The visit will give you a glimpse into the life of a Mountain Gorilla family & if you are lucky enough to gaze into the eyes of a Mountain Gorilla. Visiting Mountain Gorillas will take you 3 hours to a full day trek through the forest since Mountain Gorillas move from one place to another every day looking for food & water.

Day 13: Golden Monkey Tracking & Canoe Ride on Lake Bunyonyi:
Stop At: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Western Region
Just like Mountain Gorillas tracking, you will go for golden monkey tracking starting with pre-tracking briefing at the Park headquarters. Hiking through the forests to sight the golden monkeys is not so strenuous like gorilla trekking because golden monkeys live in lower areas, so you will not track for more than 3 hours. When you encounter the golden monkey family, you will be given one hour to spend with them (to take photographs and observe their behavior). With this activity, there is no minimum number of visitors and the age limit is 12 years.

Stop At: Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda
In the afternoon after your lunch, you will go for canoe ride on a scenic lake Bunyonyi. This lake is the only one were you can ride a canoe to visit all the 29 islands on this lake including the floating Island and the punishment Island where the young girls who got pregnant before marriage would be dumped and left to die.

Day 14: To Lake Mburo National Park for Afternoon Boat Safari:

On this day, you will have your morning breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. It is the smallest and is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, Topi and reedbuck.

You will arrive in the afternoon and have lunch and go for afternoon boat safari that will get you come face to face with the flora and fauna of the lake. And along the bank, you will also see many animals that come to the water especially in the dry season. You will also see many hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, buffaloes, and over 3 types of otters that are found in the lake. Also, when it comes to the birds, you will view the malachite kingfishers, African Fish eagles, blue headed weavers, Rufuos long-tailed starlings, the pied kingfishers, hammerkobs, Herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill as well as the cormorants.
