Tierra del Fuego National Park Tour by Bus or End of the World Train

After being picked up at your hotel in the center of Ushuaia, where you will take an exciting ride on the last 4.5 miles. The park has dramatic scenery, with waterfalls, forests, mountains and glaciers. The Senda Costera (Coastal Path), connecting Ensenada Bay to Lapataia Bay on Lago Roca, is a popular hiking trail within the park. Forests of Antarctic beech, lenga beech and coihue in the lower elevations of the park are home to many animal species. Tour by Bus:

After being picked up at your hotel in the center of Ushuaia, head towards the Tierra del Fuego National Park on board a comfortable coach equipped with air conditioning and heating. On the way, appreciate the nice views of the lakes, lagoons, and rivers while driving along National Route 3. Pass by the slope of Mount Susana and witness the historic work of the old prison's inmates, where the Southern Fuegian Railway (the 'End of the World Train') now is.

Tour By Bus:

Going on through the valley, turn at the deviation leading to Ensenada Bay. Here, contemplate Redonda and Estorbo Islands and the snow-white Mountains of Sampaio Chain on the other coast of the Beagle Channel, in Chile.

Heading back again on National Route 3 with the Fuegian forest and its flora close to the road, go to Roca Lake for a long walk by the lakeshore and the Lapataia River, which originates in the lake. From this point, appreciate the view over Cóndor Hill, which forms the natural border with Chile.

Continue towards the other end of the park, where National Route 3 ends, at Lapataia Bay. Observe the Green Lagoon and the Black Lagoon, a large growing peat bog. Finally, pass by some beaver dams on a footpath that leads back to Lapataia Bay.

Then, after a nice half day of discovering and being surrounded by nature, return to your hotel in the center of Ushuaia.

Tour by End of the World Train:

After being picked up at your hotel in the center of Ushuaia, head towards the End of the World Train Station, where you will take an exciting ride on the last 4.5 miles (7 km) of the original 15-mile (25-km) path that carried a prisoners' train almost 100 years ago. Going through the Cañon del Toro and crossing the Pipo River on Puente Quemado, be amazed by the outstanding scenery. Stop at La Macarena Waterfall Station for some panoramic views and to see the settlement of the native Yamanas people.

Hop back on the train and enter the Tierra del Fuego National Park and enjoy the views of wild nature. Discover and delve into the landscape of a Subantarctic forest located on the shores of the Beagle Channel in the southwest of the province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica, and South Atlantic Islands.

Arriving at Cruce de Ensanada, observe the gorgeous bay and appreciate the excellent view of Navarino and Hoste Islands in the Chilean part of the archipelago and Redonda Island. Continue the journey to Roca Lake. After a short break in the 'Casita del Bosque,' where some snacks are available to purchase, continue on with a little walk to stop at one of the beaver dams. Then, visit Lapataia Bay at the end of National Route 3, where the southern and western boundaries meet.

Then, head towards the port, from where you will be taken back to your hotel.
