Short drive from Krapina is the most famous and best preserved Croatian castle - Trakošćan.
Castle was first built in the late 13th or early 14th century as a small defensive fortress.
Complex of Trakošćan we have today, a romanticist synergy of architecture and nature, is a result of 19th century. Castle was reconstructed in neo – gothic style and surrounding landscape including a lake emerged after the model of English park.
For the last 60 years Trakoscan houses valuable collection of paintings, furniture and weapons from the Renaissance until Historicism.

Stop At: Staro selo museum, Kumrovec Croatia
From Trakošćan we will drive through picturesque landscapes and villages to reach Kumrovec - a birthplace of marshal Josip Broz Tito (1892–1980), the president of Yugoslavia.
The birth house of Tito features the Memorial Museum of Marshal Tito and next to the house is the bronze standing statue of Marshal Tito. The old part of village Kumrovec comprises the Ethnological Museum with 18 village houses, displaying permanent exhibitions of artifacts related to the life and work of Zagorje peasants in the 19th/20th century.
After a sightseeing tour your guide can recommend you a restaurant serving traditional local food for a late lunch before your return back to Zagreb.
