Program in detail
Breakfast. In the morning, French guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel at 7:30 or 8am. Your day is dedicated to the Phnom Kulen National Park.
Phnom Kulen was the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire in 800, about 70 km northeast of downtown Siem Reap, is one of the most sacred mountains in the country for a hike on the pilgrims' path. Phnom Kulen was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
You will stroll through the forest to discover a river with Mille Lingas: lingas (phallic symbols) line the bed of the river. Further, you will see beautiful waterfalls where it is possible to bathe. It is a popular picnic spot for families (it is also accessible by car).
Preah Ang Thom
This is the main site of the temple at Kulen Mountain, Once inside, you can make your way up to the gigantic reclining Buddha statue, reported as the largest in Cambodia. Boxes of offerings line the length of the Buddha statue and many flowers and other tributes are placed all around.
