Stop At: Park and National Palace of Pena, Estrada da Pena, 2710-609 Sintra, Portugal

This palace represents one of the finest expressions in the world of 19th century architectural romanticism. It was the first romantic palace, having been built 30 years before the other romantic palace known in Bavaria. Its gardens with unusual species of trees in Europe make the perfect complement to the beauty of Pena Palace.

Cabo de Roca:

This is the westernmost point of continental Europe. It was believed that wind-swept cliffs were the end of the world until the end of the fourteenth century and the spectacular and desolate scenery increases the fascination of the place.


Pass By: Boca do Inferno, Northern section of Cascais, Cascais 2750-642 Portugal

Here you will see an interesting cliff formation near Cascais that received the overly dramatic name from the mouth of Hell. The incessant crash of the Atlantic Ocean on the cliffs carved a small cave that later collapsed forming a small bay and natural arch.
