Paestum is famous for two things, its ancient Greek temples and its mozzarella. The temples are among the best preserved in the world and mozzarella is unparalleled.
We will leave with a private bus and head towards the archaeological site of Paestum, where we will visit the ancient Greek colony founded in the 7th century BC. We will admire the three Doric temples in the archaeological area - they are said to be the best preserved Greek temples in the world. We will visit the Paestum museum which exhibits artifacts, sculptures and tomb paintings discovered during excavations.
After visiting the temples, we will visit a local farm, where the buffalo mozzarella is made, hand-made and with buffalo milk. During the tour you will discover the production and the stables where the most advanced milking techniques are used. At the end of the visit you can taste this mozzarella! At the end of the tour we will have time to buy lunch at the bistro or, if you prefer, you can bring your lunch.
