Bazzano: the main centre of Valsamoggia crossed by the river bearing the same name as the town, is a welcoming ancient agricultural village. Its origins go back to the hight Middleages and the Bentivoglio Fortress, or Rocca Matildica. The historical centre is imposing, the countryside with green valleys and gently rolling hills offers the travellers dazzling magnificent landscapes. Excellent farm produce, such us SaslĂ Grapes and its Chasselas wine is worldly famous.
Vignola: rich in history, culture and precious architecture, this is the main centre for the Cherry production. Walking through the streets, stop to see important monuments, the Fortress and the spiral staircase planned by Vignola. It is a four-storey aerial staircase supported only by a column and the perimeter wall. Barozzi cake and cherries in brandy are the most famous produce of the place.
