Trekking Barú Volcano - Day Tour

You will live an adventure from start to finish where you decide to ascend the Barú Volcano either by Boquete or Paso Ancho de Volcán, performing a 13.5km walk from Boquete or 8km from Paso Ancho de Volcán.

You can appreciate the mountain range of the Central Cordillera of Panama and you can also appreciate both oceans (Pacific and Atlantic) due to the narrowness of the Panamanian territory.

With its 3475msnm it is the highest volcano in the southern part of Central America and the highest elevation point of the Panamanian territory.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ascent to the Barú Volcano

Pass By: Volcan Baru National Park, Boquete Panama
You will appreciate the beauty of the highest mountains in Panama above 3000 meters above sea level. along the way you will appreciate the lush vegetation and endemic animals of the National Park such as the Quetzal, Pajaro Campanero, Gato Solo, etc.

When we reach the top by the narrow Panamanian territory we can appreciate both seas.

Day 2: Sunrise on the top of Barú Volcano

Pass By: Volcan Baru National Park, Boquete Panama
We will appreciate the sunrise at the top of the Barú Volcano and then make the descent and return.
