Chauffeured from the Renaissance capital to the rolling hills surrounding the Southern side of the city, you'll find yourselves where the soil also yields truffles. An English-speaking private guide will lead you 1½ hours in the woods to a unique truffle hunt under the expert guidance of a professional truffle hunter and his trained dogs.
The truffle hunter will explain about the truffle varieties, the characteristics of the soil and the truffles seasonality.
Once the dogs suddenly sniff the truffle and dig it out the truffle hunter will let you take it in your hands and finally smell it.
On the spot you will toast the end of the hunt with a Prosecco aperitif and the crostini topped with the truffles digged out right before.
You will then enjoy a full Tuscan Lunch held in a luxury restaurant immersed in the famous Chianti hills over Florence where you will be served an authentic juicy menu (with a dish based on truffle if daily available), from home-made pasta and a meat dish washed with the best red Chianti wine till the tasting of the Cantucci almond biscuits with the Vinsanto dessert wine.
The return to Florence will be smooth with the Tuscany hills in your eyes and heart.
