UNESCO protected sites and Antique cities in Georgia - Mtskheta and Uplistikhe

This day you will visit the UNESCO protected sites of Mtskheta - Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedlral, Gori Fortress and Uplistikhe Cave City. If we have a time we shall visit few other places in Mtskheta and Gori districts. 

Tour will start at 9.00 am and will be finished at 6.00 pm. You will have the lunch in middle of the tour in Mtskheta or Gori city, by your wish. 

Please note that the entrance fee in Uplistikhe caves as well as the fee for lunch is not included in the tours fee, so please have some GEL for the tickets and lunch. Ticket at Uplistikhe caves is 7 GEL per person.

The Tour starts at 9.00 am from your hotel or any other place in Tbilisi that is convenient for you.

We arrive in Jvari Monastery at 9.30 am. We visit Jvari monastery 30 minutes after that we leave for Mtskheta.

We arrive in Mtskheta at 10.15 am. Visiting of Mtskheta old capital and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral takes 1 hour. 

You may have lunch in Mtskheta around 12.00 noon or in Gori around 1.00 pm. After lunch we leave for Gori fortress. Lunch and driving to Gori takes 1.5-2.00 hours.

We arrive at Gori fortress around 2.00 pm. Visiting of Gori fortress takes 30 minutes. After that we leave for Uplistikhe.

We arrive in Uplistikhe around 3.00 pm. Visit of Uplistikhe takes 1 hour. If needed we can finish Uplistikhe early. 

We leave Uplistikhe at 4.00 pm and arrive in Tbilisi at 5.00 pm. 

If you would like we can visit this day Armazi Akropolis, Samtavisi Cathedral or Stalin Museum in Gori (Entrance tickets in Stalin museum are not included in the tours price).

Tours will be arrange by normal car sedan or minivan with 7 seats.
