Walking Tour & Food Tasting

Mykonos has whitewashed cubic houses with wooden coloured doors, windows and balconies, narrow streets forming a labyrinth, beautiful churches, lovely chapels and purple bougainvillaeas contrasting with the bright white of the buildings' walls.

We will meet at a central location, walk around the houses of Little Venice were built by wealthy merchants and ship captains in the late 18th c. and feel the strong northerly wind known as the Meltemi. Wandering along quiet cobbled alleys admiring the shadows cast by the island light, or enjoying the dramatic views as you would in any other Cycladic castle-town.

We will take snapshots of daily life: a bustling home, a family out shopping, two children playing. We will visit public squares and church courtyards, walk around the neighbourhood of Lakka, away from the high street, and do an examination of the laundry hanging out from the window and balconies.

Imagine waking up under the Greek sun, while you are on an island escape, in Mykonos Town. Picture yourself under the Greek blue sky, relaxed and caressed by the fresh breeze.
> We will visit The Manto Mavrogenous Square at Old Port, the entrance to historic Mykonos Town,
> Walk to Matoyianni Street with the cute but posh shops, restaurants and the lovely stone covered pedestrian alleys, perfect for taking pictures, with beautifully decorated corners, blossomed bougainvillaeas in the streets, and even artistic decorations in front of the local stores.
> Move to Church of Paraportiani
and go back to the 15th century, making it Mykonos' oldest church.
> Continue with Little Venice
and wandering around the pretty streets, admire the old house hanging above the water and take photos of this scenic place.
> Take pictures at The Windmills (Kato Milli)
The most famous landmark of Mykonos with lots of people visit them from all over the world every year.
After our tour, we will move together on a private beach to enjoy a picnic with Greek delicacies, Greek wine or refreshments. For the next 3 hours, you will enjoy the sun, the sea and the crystal waters.
