Stop At: Valle De Las Animas, 0000, La Paz, Bolivia

Day 1: Valle de las Animas / Moon Valley / La Paz Walking Tour

Duration: 5 am to 4 pm
Distance: 145 km (90 mi) / 2hr hiking
Altitude: 3650m (11.975 ft)
Difficulty: Easy

We drive about 45 minutes outside the city to visit the beautiful Valle de las Animas (17km of immense rocks, you’ll feel you’re on route to Mordor). We will enjoy a spectacular sunrise at the best viewpoint of the place (we will walk for 1.5hrs total). We enjoyed a breakfast box with our team.

Stop At: Valle de la Luna, La Paz, Bolivia

Then we go to Valle de Luna, a yellow valley that receives the name of ‘moon’ by the same Neil Armstrong. You will feel that you are on Mars!

We begin our return to the city by taking the longest and highest urban cable car in the world.

Stop At: The Witches' Market, Melchor Jimenez, La Paz, Bolivia

After returning to La Paz, we started our trek to one of the best restaurants for typical food (our guide will help you select good restaurants, remember that lunch is not included so you must take cash with you). Then we walk to the church of San Francisco, Mercado de las Brujas (to learn about local culture and beliefs in traditional medicine) and other historical points of the city. We finish our tour around 4:30 pm.
