Visit Taroudant and Tiout 1day - From Agadir

At the intersection of the souss valley and the mountains of the high Atlas niche in Taroudant, a real small jewel that is representative of the Moroccan South. Behind its beautiful ochre walls, you will discover the famous place Assarag : bustling place and a meeting point of the roudanis, the souks somewhat extended, but certainly very animated and you shall rejoice by the tour of the ramparts in the horse-drawn carriage to admire the beauty of the stunning gardens and orchards.

30 km south-east of Taroudant, Tioute is an old village which extends over 1000 ha. Perched on a rocky peak, dominated by an ancient Kasbah, Tioute overlooks a augustus palm groves.

A framework captivating having served as the scene of the shooting in the film ”  Ali baba and the 40 thieves in  1952 “.

 Taroudant is one of the oldest cities in Morocco, located at the south about 80 km  far away from Agadir.

    Departure at 08:30, from your hotel, and after crossing the Souss plain rich of its agriculture; orange trees, olive trees, greenhouses of tomatoes, banana ... aso.. We arrive at Taroudant; old Medina surrounded by ramparts built with old Technics. We drive you  around the ramparts, ... stop at Salam Palace; former palace of Pacha of Taroudant, and its region; today part of it transformed into a Riad hotel. A fresh mint tea, or simply a fresh orange juice at the patio and gardens of this palace is well recommended.

   After this little pause, and this refreshment; we are therefore ready to walk in the labyrinths of the old medina and its souks; rich with local handcrafts, food products, clothing ... and so on. It is the paradise for admirers of the authenticity, and the oriental atmosphere.

  At the end of the guided tour; free time in Asarag Square for some pictures of water vendors, traditional musicians, snake charmers, monkey edgers, tooth pullers, healers and charlatans sellers of magical products, or simply take a mint tea, or coffee in one of the cafies under the arcades of the big place: Assarag

After the visit we head back to your hotel for around 13:00.
