Then you will learn to make the Strawberry daifuku mochi and Three-color dango (mochi balls on skewers) FInally, the instructor will show you how to make the nerikiri dough, which is the basis of all nerikiri wagashi. You will then have a hands-on experience of coloring and shaping your own nerikiri wagashi into a seasonal motif.
The class will conclude with tasting the sweets with a bowl of matcha green tea which you will learn how to make. All ingredients are plant-derived and gluten-free. The instructor who is a certified Nerikiri Art Instructor is very fluent in English so she will be able to give you some insights on the local life as well as advice on where to shop or go sightseeing in Tokyo. Aprons will be provided and an English Recipe Sheet will be given to take home.
