Waqrapukara Trekking 2 days 1 night Private Tour

This tour will take you to one of the oldest Inca temples of the Inca and pre-Inca times, located in the Andes mountain range of Cusco, this archaeological site is built on top of a steeper mountain that makes it really wonderful. The road to Waqrapukara will take you through different ecological floors where we can appreciate a diversity of flora and fauna. Itinerary

Day 1: Lagoon POMACANCHI

Stop At: Pomacanchi, Peru
The tour to WaqraPukara starts at 05:00 a.m. With the pick up of passengers from your hotel and then we will head southeast of Cusco on a paved road where we will see the different towns until we reach Chuquicahuana where we will take the route to Acomayo on this route we can see the Pomacanchi Lagoon, where our cheff will take us Prepare a delicious breakfast in front of the beautiful Pomacanchi Lagoon. Continuing with the tour we will arrive at the town of Sangarara approx 10:00 am, then we will go to khampi where the trek will begin, we will pass through meadows and different ecological floors until we reach the second lagoon approx 13:00 pm where we will have our delicious lunch, more In the afternoon we will continue our walk to the archaeological site of Waqrapukara (4300 msmn). During the walk we will observe many lagoons, landscapes and animals of the area such as wallatas, hummingbirds, llamas, vicunas and alpacas so we will arrive around 17:00 pm so settle down and put together our different tents here we will take a break to watch the sunset and enjoy our dinner with a spectacular view of the mountains.

Day 2: waqrapukara

Stop At: Complejo Arqueologico Waqrapukara, Costanera 1, 08545 Peru
After a bright sunrise in the middle of a surrounded nature we will have our delicious breakfast, then we will have our guided tour of the archaeological center of Waqrapukara, this place will surprise us with its enigmatic construction, where we can appreciate the main door called INTIPUNKU OR PORTADA DEL SOL, enclosure from the sun and the moon, Wiracocha enclosure, two towers, main square, bleachers, next to it we will also see a system of terraces, and we will be surrounded by the immense rock formations around us.
Finished with the guidance we will go to observe the cave paintings of the Qanchi ethnic group, being able to see representations of the llamas, considered as one of the very important camelids since the pre-Inca era which is located a few minutes from the fortress, returning we are the Down to Sangarara where we will have our expected lunch, to resume Cusco and make a brief stop at the Pomacanchi Lagoon, to continue our trip and reach the city of Cusco at 19:00 pm aprox.
