Wine and food tasting in the traditional winery

Grape growing and wine making family is providing the unique experience of homemade wines, spirits and snacks tasting on the terrace of their traditional winery which belongs to the family for 14 generations now. This is opportunity to enjoy the glass of wine in the cradle of the Montenegrin wine and to listen interesting stories about long history and rich tradition of this region. Hosting winery is situated in the Historical Site of the Godinje village, inside the Skadar lake National Park, just 5 km distant from Virpazar.  The tasting tour lasts 1,5 hour.

Tastings start at 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm and last 1,5 hour. Winery Garnet is situated in the historical part of the village Godinje and you can reach it by car, bike or walking from the nearest town Virpazar (5 km away). Capital of Montenegro Podgorica is 35 km away, Bar 30 km, Petrovac 25 km, Budva 50 km, Kotor i Tivat 70 km. 

This picturesque village is the first ever declared Montenegrin heritage site because of its authentic architecture and the long history. Our winery is in the very neighborhood of the Balsic dynasty summer house from 14th century. Tasting includes three glasses of different wines paired with the home made snacks. Your host is the agronomist and wine producer fluent in English.
