Yungang Grottoes is a relic of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) and there are now 53 grottoes with 51000 statues remaining. Listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 2001, Yungang Grottoes represent the excellent achievement of Buddhist sculptural art of ancient China.

Built in 491, Hanging Monastery has a history of more than 1400 years. Seen from below, it appears to be a tumble-down castle in the air, which gives a breath-taking view of Chinese architecture.
