Asia-lite! One of the most incredible and efficient cities in the world. 8 million people crammed into the size of La Jolla and Pacific Beach, but you can't own a car unless you have a garage to store it. Taxis and buses are cheap and run on natural gas so there is very little exhaust. Trains run every 7 minutes with German precision. Tons of walking trails, hikes and excursions to little islands and beachs.
Top shelf. Heat up in the hot springs stone tub and dive into the river. Alot more crowded than it was 50 years ago, but still great. Try to figure a time when the parents won’t bring their kids, as the screaming or splashing can be a bit much. It seems to me many years ago there were multiple tubs but now just one.
Plus, swim across the river to a Mexican lady making great food for lunch.
I could live there.
Very nice town, not too big and doesn't get too many tourists. There is mountain and a waterfall around so if you plan to stay for a few days you will have something to do.
Very good place for trekking. There are some guest houses where you can stay and organize a trip with them or just get recommendations. There are many local tribes in the area where you can learn about their every day life.
