During the day it's busy with traffic, while at night with tourists. Good for parties, but I wouldn't recommend staying in this area for too many days, you could end up not sleeping the whole time. Many things to do here - from cheap street food to fancy restaurants, bars, cafés. This is real Saigon!
My mom was a history teacher and couldn't wait to take me to Philadelphia. From Independence Hall to the Liberty Bell, my mom was in heaven... and so was I! And what about those cheese steaks... this California girl had her mind blown with the first bite.
Busy capital city, it's hard to walk 5 meters without being asked "Tuk Tuk Sir? Madame?" which is funny at the beginning but after a few hours you just avoid eye contact with the drivers and ignore them. There are many temples close to town, you can visit Silk Island which is a pleasant runaway from loud city. I liked the riverside walk as there are people just sitting and relaxing. Also the Genocide Museum and Royal Palace are interesting places to see.
