I’ve managed to visit this site a number of times over the past 25 years, and am pleased to see the improvements made, with more scheduled to come. It’s a fun, quirky attraction offering a nice place to have a picnic with the family.
We took a boat for sunset and as it was low season there weren't many of them, except for random locals. The sun mirrored beautifully in the lake and we took some amazing pictures!
One of the best preserved ghost towns in California. Easy to get there, with the last part being a dirt road. No need for AWD or 4x4. Be sure to get there early. Park closes at 3:00 pm!!
