Waihee Ridge Trail is a 4.5 mile round-trip hike in West Maui Forest Reserve that offers lush scenery, great valley views and some dramatic ridge-line hiking. With 1,591 feet of elevation gain, this is no walk in the park, and rain can mean muddy, slippery trail conditions.
Waihou Spring Forest Reserve was established by Governor’s Proclamation in 1909 for the purpose of protecting the sources of Waihou Spring, one of the few perennial springs on the west slope of Haleakalā. At approximately 186 acres, Waihou Spring Forest Reserve is relatively small but is a popular day-use area.
Waikamoi Ridge Nature Loop Trail is just past Road to Hana mile marker 9 between Twin Falls and the Garden of Eden Arboretum before Ke’anae. The trail has a few nice overlooks, benches, and even a couple of places with BBQ’s.
