This is small, historic town is the closest destination (1-1/2 hours) from Buenos Aires to visit Uruguay. It can easily be done in a day. Once you arrive in Colonia, you can rent golf carts and drive around the charming streets and see the waterfront.
Make sure to start your day early having a breakfast and visiting the wonderful "Forte de Copacabana"! Arrive early cause there is always big lines! As soon as you enter in the Historic Fort make sure to rush to the "Confeitaria Colombo" and ask for a table with view to the Copacaba Beach (if you arrived early enough it won't take long!) now you can go explore the fort and it's museums and they will call you when your table is ready! Enjoy 💙
good for tracking. the best part of the sites is batad rice terrace. the structure itself is not same as many other rice terraces. it was made from arranged stones. the shape is just like a huge amphitheater. take a day trail to visit some spot as like waterfall track. the bad things, nowadays near the banquet rice terrace, there are so many new building that was built very randomly
