Massive bell it is and seems like everyone comes to see it. Very crowded, we waited over an hour to get a picture with not too many people around. But worth it, it's one of the biggest winging bells in the world. Also, dong it if you're around!
The visitor center was closed when we visited (COVID19). The visitor center is designed to show respect to the residents from Japan and demonstrate the building materials of wood frame and tar paper used during this time. The fence is still in place and a representative guard station mark the entrance. There is a lot of history and emotion at this site. The park has worked hard to preserve what they could. It is a good investment in time to learn and to experience this chapter of our history.
