It is worth seeing, specially if you are into architecture. The construction is magnificent. Also if you are catholic you fill find it a very comforting place to pray.
If you find yourself out this way this is worth a stop. The visitors center is very nice and informative, there is a short walk just outside the the visitors center, and there is a walk/hike maybe a quarter mile away that takes you to the site of the battle. It is very interesting and an important part of Native America history, even though it didn’t have as large an impact as other locations. And the best part is it’s free!
Beautiful, must see place. Wat Arun stands out from other temples and it's worth to visit with a guide who will give you much information about history of the place.
At over 8,000 ft be prepared to take your time going up this hike. I tried to hurry and was pretty winded. You cant go up the lookout station as its used for staff only, but you can see 360 degrees around you. Views are similar to what you see at the rim so if you cant go, dont feel too bad.
