I am from the US and this was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. The drive to the beach was gorgeous! Full of trees, very pretty road. Once down to the beach a very short walk to the water. The beach is very pretty and not crowded, we were there midday on a Sunday. The kangaroos are small and not afraid, you can feed them and get really close. Could have spent 2 hours in the tidepools too.
nice place for a short visit south of there are some better old southern towns Murrell's inlet,
Georgetown in Georgetown I highly recommend you visit the "old fish house" not the tavern the real one at the end of story Jan

The biggest waves happen here so people come for surfing. Nai Harn is nice and peaceful beach, there aren't any big parties but you can grab a drink and relax under a shade of a palm tree.
No words to define the view and the color of the water. It is amazing view, by the top and by the water in a ship. Swimming there is like the paradise.
