Phi Phi have the most beautiful shade of water around and the surroundings are just stunning - but underneath there's a lot of trash. Locals don't care about collecting rubbish and saving the environment too much unfortunately. There are many local restaurants and places to visit which is nice.
Phuket is a beautiful island, a bit touristic which often means expensive too but it's worth to come and explore. There are many tours in offer, food is as great as everywhere in Thailand, nature is beautiful. There are so many beaches it's hard to explore all of them.
Amazing black sand beach, with silica particles which glow in the sun. The many surfers trying to ride the waves complete the view. At low tide, take a walk to the left of the beach towards the big rocks, to see the spectacular performance of big waves hitting the rocks.
Piha Beach is a MUST See! The black sand is amazing! It feels like a spongy like texture under your feet as you walk along the beach. Make your way up Te Piha’s Lion Mountain...have your mini picnic there after you’ve climbed all the way up. It’s a beautiful sight to see across the horizon and down to the black sand beach.
I definitely preferred Malagueta in center of Malaga rather than Misericordia. This one is emptier but seems messy and doesn't have the vibe of Malagueta.
