Historic Groom Creek Schoolhouse can be reserved for day use by groups of up to 60 people. Facilities include the two-room schoolhouse, tables and chairs, outdoor picnic tables, vault toilets, and electricity. There is also an amphitheater for gatherings such as weddings.
Grout Bay Picnic Area is located on the scenic north shore of Big Bear Lake. The Grays Peak trailhead is across the highway from the picnic area.
The picnic area is closed during eagle season; December 1st thru March 31st. This site is accessible.
Picnic at Haypress Recreation Area along the Trans-Catalina Trail on Catalina Island. Include picnic tables, drinking water, restroom and children playground.

Tables and grills are scattered through the oaks at the top of the park and along Rattlesnake Canyon Trail. When not otherwise reserved, picnickers may also use the tables under the group shelters.
