Mangawhai Heads is a township in Northland, New Zealand at the north end of Mangawhai Harbour. The two beaches have quiet swimming and there is kayaking in the estuary and harbour.

The hike to reach Mango Bay Viewpoint takes up to 1 hour. The way is straightforward but steep and mostly in the sun so make sure to stay hydrated. If you don't bring enough water there are some stalls on the way which sell cold coconuts, juices and also warm snacks.
