San Francisco Bay is a windsurfing and kitesurfing mecca. Skill level drives where a person shoudl go. Some of the more advanced areas are the Golden Gate and Crissy Field launching area. For training and beginners the Marina Green Park, North Ocean Beach, and Crowne Beach in Alameda are great places. The best season for winds is March through October.
