See Point Estero Shipwreck, Cayucos, California
The Point Estero was a commercial fishing vessel that had originated from Morro Bay Harbor. On July 28th, 2017, on its way back to Morro Bay, it unfortunately ran aground.
The shipwreck is located at the south end of Estero Bluffs State Park near Highway 1 about 1.5 miles north of downtown Cayucos. The vessel has become a popular landmark, best viewed during low tide.
Visitors are advised to exercise caution due to sharp rusting metal and to follow safety tips, including visiting during low tide and avoiding climbing on the structure.
