Edinburgh was overwhelmingly beautiful! We stayed at The Grassmarket Hotel in Old Town where we had easy access to everything. The steps were brutal, but we still managed to walk most everywhere. Definitely want to return one day.
One of the most amazing things I’ve done in my life. After 3h hike in the Bwindi Forest we visited the biggest family of these gentle giants. It was unforgettable experience to see them in the wilderness
Amazing tour of Pompeii site. Went to National Archaeological Museum of Naples to view the artifacts from Pompeii... Definitely worth it to also go there to fully appreciate the historical significance of the area.
Cairo is so strange. My friend said that when she went several years ago it was stunning and she actually wanted to move there. After the Arab spring it leaves a bit to be desired. Piles of garbage everywhere. But it's the history that gives it 5-stars.
Asia-lite! One of the most incredible and efficient cities in the world. 8 million people crammed into the size of La Jolla and Pacific Beach, but you can't own a car unless you have a garage to store it. Taxis and buses are cheap and run on natural gas so there is very little exhaust. Trains run every 7 minutes with German precision. Tons of walking trails, hikes and excursions to little islands and beachs.
Better than any photo.
Maybe I'm a bad photographer or something is special about this place. My photo of the statue has a glow. Could be the magic of the mountain.
A must do. Going to Rio make the time. Well worth a few hours!
Christ is a very crowded attraction in Rio de Janeiro, make surr to arrive early on a day with clean weather! You can go up by "mini Trains" or by "Car Trips" the car trips may pass by the Wonderful and not crowded Mirante of Dona Marta which can give you many great pic oportunities!
The French Quarter is wonderful. Decatur Street was by far my favorite area. It's full of shops and plenty of artists, especially on the weekends, and wonderful food. Definitely do a walk around the quarter to get in all the sights of the beautiful buildings. Walk Bourbon street at least once at night.
Georgia or West Virginia, New York or Vermont, each state on the trail has great things to see and experience. No matter your age, no matter the time of year you chose, if properly prepared and accompanied the AT is the premier place to strengthen your character and your legs, widen your thoughts and appreciation for the wonders of creation. Enjoy the hike(s), see the sights, taste the waters and see the people who wander the trails and do not feed the wildlife under any circumstances. Take eye photos or real ones and share them with everyone.
