Kind of getting dirty and not to wholesome. Definitely not a place to take kids like it use to be. Lots of fun things to do. Anything is possible in Vegas. Great hotels from fairly reasonable to break the bank. Must do city.
Make sure to spend the whole day here. It's most notorious for its major 1980 eruption, the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in the history of the United States.
Since the number of trek permits is limited to 500 per day (about 200 tourists and 300 trekking staff) it is important to book well in advance. The trek permits are issued on a first-come-first-served basis up until all the permits have been sold out. In the low season (December & January) there are some days when there are still permits available 4 or 5 days in advance, but in the high season (May to September) it is recommended that you book at least 4 months in advance to guarantee a place. We would actually recommend making a reservation 5 or 6 months ahead. You can check out how many permits are left on our webpage Inca Trail trek permit availability. If the Inca Trail is already fully booked on the departure date that you require you can always consider one of the Alternative Inca Trail Treks
Taking photos of the Eiffel tower at night when its lights glow is protected by a copyight law. Selling it or even sharing on social media without permission could lead to a fine.
Some of the best places to see the Eiffel Tower are from: Arc de Triomphe, Tour Montparnasse, Hôtel Raphael,Pont de Bir-Hakeim,Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris andTrocadero restaurant.
Asia-lite! One of the most incredible and efficient cities in the world. 8 million people crammed into the size of La Jolla and Pacific Beach, but you can't own a car unless you have a garage to store it. Taxis and buses are cheap and run on natural gas so there is very little exhaust. Trains run every 7 minutes with German precision. Tons of walking trails, hikes and excursions to little islands and beachs.
The French Quarter is wonderful. Decatur Street was by far my favorite area. It's full of shops and plenty of artists, especially on the weekends, and wonderful food. Definitely do a walk around the quarter to get in all the sights of the beautiful buildings. Walk Bourbon street at least once at night.
Special permit are required to hike to The Wave (just ten are issued for each day). Permits ($5 per person) can be obtained in advance (http://www.blm.gov/az/st/en/arolrsmain/paria/coyote_buttes/permits.html)
