A stunningly beautiful park. Much larger than I imagined and so many places to hide from crowds and get away from it all. So many different ways to experience the park as well. It’ll take multiple visits to see the park in its entirety.
Very informative historical sites throughout the island that bring into perspective the scale of the struggle of the people of Guam, and the liberation. My only disappointment was the state of disrepair that I observed to the monument to the armed forces at the Asan Beach site.
If you find yourself out this way this is worth a stop. The visitors center is very nice and informative, there is a short walk just outside the the visitors center, and there is a walk/hike maybe a quarter mile away that takes you to the site of the battle. It is very interesting and an important part of Native America history, even though it didn’t have as large an impact as other locations. And the best part is it’s free!
Great outdoors venue for concert. Acoustics ok for string instruments but felt a bit "empty" during a rock concert. Might just be though how the crew was miked and sounding done.
