Long drive but well worthwhile. Nice visitor center with very nice staff. Better if you can do the hikes to the cliff dwellings. Come early if doing the hikes.
Loved the park. We took a tour with one of the volunteers through the town which was very worthwhile the film at the visitor center was excellent. Very much enjoyed the park.
Interesting story of the Nez Perce (Niimii’puu) tribe’s belief of their creation. Recently visited for the second time in my life. It isn’t necessarily a huge scenic spot but the story makes up for it.
Nineteen people live in Nicodemus, KS. All of them are descendants of the colony who traveled from Lexington, KY to own free land and prosper. I met two of those descendants today during a walking tour. Fascinating stories.
Very neat historic site. unfortunately they were closed due to covid but we were able to drive around and look ams then fb message them any her our stamp later.
My wife and I enjoyed an afternoon stroll around the battle field. As you can see, we aren’t always able to enjoy exploring all national parks together. The paved paths are very well maintained and the area is beautiful.
This area is beautiful and easy to explore. We enjoyed the hiking with the rangers program on the first Saturday of the month, and then swimming. It’s out in the middle of nowhere so plan accordingly
Amazing spot in this busy world, need a bit of down time? highly recommend! On top of this the campground host gave us some wonderful tips on other spots to visit in South Texas. Thank you NPS & PINS
